The group is currently mentored by Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet) in Vienna.
At the close of their rehearsal residency the group gave a free concert in Casa Menotti. For full quartet details and information on the players please visit their website.
Le Dimore del Quartetto aims to bring new audiences to chamber music. The project has been selected by Fondazione Cariplo among the 20 winners (out of 321 participants from all over Italy) of the ‘Cultural Innovation’ call. Casa Menotti, where the quartet will host a concert, is a 16th-century building in Piazza Duomo which was the home of the composer and founder of the Festival dei Due Mondi, Gian Carlo Menotti, until he passed away in 2007. Since 2011, under the guidance and patronage of the Fondazione Monini, Casa Menotti has been open to the public throughout the year, free of charge and used for different types study. The building is dedicated to the history of the Festival, to Gian Carlo Menotti, and to the bond between the town of Spoleto and the international cultural context created by the Festival. Casa Menotti also presents concerts throughout the year. Every summer since 2012 ‘Musica da Casa Menotti’ presents concerts during the Festival period under the guidance of the President of the Fondazione Monini Maria Flora Monini and the Artistic Director Federico Mattia Papi, thanks to the grants of the Fondazione Monini, the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Spoleto, and the fundraising community of patrons. The Mahler & LeWitt Studios have collaborated with Casa Menotti since 2017.
